Questions, answered

A few things worth knowing.

Straightforward answers about access, privacy, reminders, records, and what MedTime does—and does not—do.

What is MedTime?

MedTime is an iPhone and iPad app for organizing medication reminders and personal health records. It supports separate profiles for people and pets, medication and dosage history, taken and missed reminders, medical events, doctors, pharmacies, insurance information, notes, photos, PDF attachments, and user-initiated exports.

How much does MedTime cost?

Eligible users can explicitly start a free 30-day trial with full create and edit access. It does not renew or create an automatic charge. Afterward, one permanent in-app purchase keeps create and edit access. The target U.S. price is $4.99; storefront pricing may vary. MedTime is not a subscription.

What happens when the trial ends?

Creating and editing become read-only until full access is purchased. Existing records remain available to view and export. The trial cannot be restarted after it expires.

Do I need a MedTime account?

No. MedTime does not require a separate username, password, or MedTime account.

Which devices are supported?

MedTime runs on iPhone and iPad. There is no standalone Apple Watch app.

How do reminders work?

Save a medication, then create a daily, weekly, monthly, or as-needed schedule. Supported notifications can mark a reminder taken or snooze it for 15 minutes. Notification delivery is not guaranteed and should not be used for emergency or clinical monitoring.

Can another person receive a missed-reminder alert?

Yes, optionally by text message. You must have the recipient’s permission, and the recipient must verify the mobile number. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and the recipient can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Email alert delivery is not available.

Does the alert text include medication or health details?

No. It says only that a MedTime medication reminder was not marked taken. Medication names, dosages, notes, attachments, insurance information, medical-history details, and exported reports are not sent through the alert service.

Can profiles be shared with another MedTime user?

No. Profiles remain private to your devices and private iCloud database. You can deliberately export or share selected information through Apple’s system share sheet.

Can I import contacts and data?

You can select a contact to help fill doctor, pharmacy, or insurance details after granting the applicable device permission. MedTime also supports validated CSV backup import and export. The current app does not import appointments from your device calendar.

Can I recover something I deleted?

Open Settings > Recently Deleted. Supported deleted records remain recoverable for 30 days before MedTime removes them permanently.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings > Access and choose Restore purchase while signed in to the Apple Account associated with the transaction.

Is MedTime medical advice?

No. MedTime is an organization and reminder tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency response, or clinical monitoring. Always follow qualified healthcare professionals and contact emergency services in an emergency.
